Medieval festival “Enter in time!”

On August 11, 2018, from 15:00 people of Jaunpils castle invites everyone to the annual medieval festival. This year's theme - "Enter In Time!"

The guests will be entertained by the attractive people of the castle's household leaded by Intendant fon Grāvelštein ( Actor Gints Grāvelis).

At 21:00,
romantic moments will be at the LIVE CONCERT. The performers will be singing actresses: Dita Lūriņa – Egliena, Zane Dombrovska, Lelde Dreimane and actor - Mārtiņš Meiers.
At 22:30,
there will be the light show of the Duke's Jakobe’s time firework machine and the games of light on the tower. It’s part of festival "Latvian Lap of Honour" - program of events to help visitors discover the different regions of Latvia through their cultural heritage, traditions, historical and contemporary personalities, nature, and achievements.
At 23:00
the celebrations will continue at the GREENERY BALL in the Jaunpils Park stage, where will play favourite Latvian music group “Tērvete”.

Admission: for adults - EUR 8.00, children up to 6 years old (including) - free of charge, starting from 7 years old - 5.00 EUR, only for concert 3.00 EUR (* activity is for separate fee). The entrances of the "Latvian Lap of Honour" and the Greenery ball are free of charge.

Jaunpils castle is one of the rare medieval castles, that has preserved its historical look. Jaunpils castle was built in 1301. as Livonia Order fortress. The castle was bult by Livonia Order master Gotfrid fon Roga. More than 350 years the palace was inhabited by fon der Recke strain. Nowadays at the palace, which is surrounded by water from three sides, there is Jaunpils social life. The picturesque landscape and social life folklore is a background for sideshows meant for tourists. Together with monks, jesters, lords of manor and servants you will have possibility to become a real medieval hero.

Everything will be romantic because it will happen at seven century old castle...
